The Golf Cabriolet at Golf Cabrio Achieves Five Star Safety Rating

Volkswagen Golf Cabrio is one of favoritest drop-tops ever. It offers great quality, great drive, and loads of simple and honest driving fun. Now we can add great safety to the list as well.

In the latest round of European NCAP safety testing, the new Golf Cabriolet has been awarded with five safety stars, and posted incredibly high scores for a car of this type. It scored 96 percent in tests for occupant safety.

What’s more, maximum safety for children was verified in child occupant protection tests with dummies representing the ages 18 months and three years. In the pedestrian safety tests also, the Golf Cabriolet achieved very good results in head protection for children, since the top of the bonnet can deflect inwards.

Another Volkswagen car to be named a five-star car by NCAP was the Jetta, which scored 94 percent in occupant safety. The two vehicles also impressed in the “safety assist” area, with very good 71 per cent scores.
