Two in a week. While the world of motorport is still recovering from death of Dan Wheldon, Italian Moto GP rider Marco Simoncelli dies after a crash in Sepang, Malaysia.

The young Italian lost control of his bike on second lap of the Malaysian GP and collided with Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi. He then died from the injuries he suffered in the accident.He was 24.

We thought these days with all the advanced safety equipments and regulations, motorsport is as safe as playing golf. We were badly wrong. Turns out the racing drivers still put their lives on the line every time they set foot in a race car or ride a racing bike for our entertainment.
