Platinum is a posh special edition of Nissan’s fluffy SUV X-Trail for the British market.
The treatment is mostly about the interior and extra equipments, but the car gets a couple of visual upgrades as well, including the fitment of additional protection plates located below the bumpers, chrome side steps and chrome door protection mouldings.
Inside the X-Trail Platinum features leather upholstery and electrically-adjustable, heated front seats. A sophisticated new touch screen communication unit features satellite navigation, iPod connectivity and Bluetooth. To help protect your investment there’s also a reversing camera, with the image transmitted onto a small screen incorporated into the rear view mirror.
The engine of choice for this special and limited version of the X-Trail is the 2.0dCi diesel, capable of 173PS and 44.1mpg. It can be paired with either manual or automatic transmissions.
It is limited to 200 units, with prices starting at £29,180 for the manual and £30,560 for the automatic.
