After the Volvo V40, another new premium hatchback leaks out ahead of its official debut. Meet the new Audi A3.
While the Volvo with its fancy new design looked very interesting at first glance, there’s not much to get excited about with the Audi. It looks like all the other new Audis at front, and it’s pretty much feature-less at the back.
But then that’s how an Audi looks. It has a sort of discrete elegance which is appealing in its own unique way.
The range will include three and five-door hatchbacks, followed by a sedan version. The car will be based on Volkswagen’s MQB (Modular Transverse Matrix), which also underpin the new Golf Mk7.
The engine lineup will consist of a range of petrol and diesel units, including 1.2 and 2.0 liter petrol engines, and 1.6 and 2.0 liter TDI diesels. What we need is an RS3 hot hatch to liven things up.
