Audi released U.S. allocation and pricing details of the super special R8 GT Spyder. Only 50 of the total 333 units will be sent to America, and it is, of course, very expensive.
$211,200 is the price you have to pay if you want this limited and special edition of the R8 Spyder, which comes with a couple of visual tweaks and a 5.2 liter V10 engine. That price includes a $1,200 destination charge.
The R8 Spyder GT is a bit lighter than the standard car, which means it can use the 560 horsepower (peak torque of 398 lb-ft.) of its engine more efficiently. It goes from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds and has a top speed of 197 mph.
The GT is a lightened, more focused version of the R8, but that doesn’t mean they’ve skimped on equipments. It is actually fully loaded and has very remarkable options as well. Mind you, they are quite expensive those options.
