The internet pulls the trigger on the Volvo V40 as the first fully revealing pictures leak onto the web.

This Geneva-bound premium hatchback is a rival for Mercedes B Class, BMW 1 Series and Audi A3, and at least in terms of styling, it’s up to the job. The car looks utterly magnificent from every angle.

There’s nothing fancy about it, and it may even look a bit too much like the XC60. But it’s better looking than the hideous 1 series, much more interesting than the dull A3, and sportier than the tall and clunky B Class.

The V40 has been a victim of the world wide web from the get go. Now with these pictures published online Volvo might be forced to release the official materials sooner. Stay tuned for technical details.
