Car journalists are usually great drivers, because, well, that’s how they make a living. That said, if you are used to test driving hatchbacks and stuff, you should be a bit more careful when all of a sudden you get invited to an AMG track day event. Or you end up causing what can only be described a balls-up with a cherry on top.

The accident happened when two Chinese journalists got hold of a Mercedes SLS and a Mercedes C63. Apparently the SLS driver didn’t know how good the car’s brakes are, and hit them hard way too soon. The C63 driver then can do nothing but running into the super car at high speed.

Fortunately, no one was harmed in this incident except the drivers’ ego, which is probably severely bruised. It’s also not a big deal for Mercedes. They probably have awesome insurance which will sort the damage out. But I don’t think those journalists get invited to other events anytime soon.
