While the Internet was trying to discover what this teaser shot of the new DS9 was all about, Citroen shows up in the middle of Paris at Place de la Concorde with the actual car for a photoshoot. They just didn’t seem bothered about people taking pictures of the car before official unveiling, according to people present at the location. The DS9 will make its public debut at the Beijing motorshow in April.

The DS9 is said to be the production version of the Citroen Metropolis concept, an exclusive concept car for China revealed at last year’s Shanghai autoshow. But as you see in the pictures, it’s not a saloon car like the Metropolis, it’s an elegant shooting brake.

The 9 is indeed heading into production, and the final version wouldn’t be as glamorous as this show car. But like other members of Citroen’s DS family it will look fantastically charming and beautiful. It will first go on sale in China. A decision to offer it in Europe as well is yet to be made by Citroen’s top brass.
