An Egyptian dude has come up with a tuning program – well, it’s actually a solution to an unusual problem – for the BMW 1-Series that blows not only the standard BMW 1M Coupe, but also the best of what all the big time tuners have to offer out of the water. He’s fitted his BMW 120d with the 420hp V8 engine out of an E92 M3!

The problem he was facing was financial. You see, if he wanted to import a 1M Coupe to the country he had to spend $150K on in customs charges only. So by the time he got the 1M in his garage he had to spend well over $200K. Not worth it.

So he came up with that ingenious idea which was much cheaper, and better than having a 1M anyway, seeing as the standard car has only 350hp, not 420hp. Of course, since he wanted an 1M he also fitted the car with bumpers and wheels and exhausts of the the factory-standard car.

We admire this guy’s spirit. Even though his country is still pretty much a battlefield after the recent revolution, nothing could stop him in his quest to drive a BMW 1M, or at least something close to it.

1M lovers in Europe and America don’t have to deal with that financial problem, but they still might find it difficult getting the car, as it’s a limited production car. So, there you go then. An easy solution.
