A few days ago Toyota released a teaser video for an 86 rally car they’ve been preparing to take part in SNR Tour de KYUSHU in Japan. Now they’ve come up with a new video showing the car in its first shakedown on the test track, but things are still very peculiar. First of all, they call it a rally car, so why is it on the race track. Also, we sure don’t see anything rally-ish about this car. It sounds like a normal 86, goes like one and doesn’t even slide about.
