Volkswagen’s highly anticipated new city car, the up! is now available in the UK and it can be yours for as little as £7,995. If you are posh and want the fully-loaded top of the line model, that’ll be £11,180. Even if you are poor, you can still get an up! thanks to Volkswagen’s Finance’s Solutions PCP package which offers the car from just £79 a month.
The engine lineup for the up! consists of two 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine options as well as a BlueMotion Technology version. There’s also three trim levels of Take up!, Move up! and High up!. These are all three-door versions, mind you. Those who want the five-door version have to wait a bit longer. VW also offers special up! black and up! white editions with added features.
If you wait long enough, you might even be able to get an electric version of the car, as it’s in the development currently.
Volkswagen up! has won many awards since its introduction as one of the finest city cars ever. It’s been named Top Gear magazine’s Small Car of the Year and also CarBuyer’s Best City Car.
