As with every new produciton model, Mercedes-Benz Collection launches the first series of official scale models for the 2013 Mercedes SL. Available as 1:87, 1:43 and 1:18, Mercedes SL model cars feature almost every detail of the production car, and its original paint work as well. Even the details of the wheels are spot on.

The reason for that incredible similarity to the real thing is that these models are hand assembled using the original CAD data, and comprise up to 104 component parts. The roadster roof is enclosed separately. What’s more, two of the best names in die cast business, Herpa and Norev, have collaborated with Mercedes on this.

SL model cars come in Mercedes-Benz designer packaging, which include a screwdriver for removing the model from the pack easily, and a glove to protect the miniature from fingerprints.
