Audi A6 allroad 11 at Audi A6 Allroad Quattro UK Prices and Specs

Audi A6 allroad is the next car to receive its official price tag in preparation for market launch in July. This 4×4 estate which is as capable as a SUV, but doesn’t look like one, is priced from £43,150 OTR to £49,445. This car has all the benefits of a SUV, but without the high driving position, which makes it kind of pointless in our view.

But at least it will be mistaken for a normal estate and won’t be vandalized if you park in territories where the green peas usually hang out.

The mighty allroad comes with three diesel engines. The TDI range comprises three 3.0-litre V6 units, the first two of which deliver 204PS with peak torque of 450Nm and 245PS with 580Nm with the help of a single turbocharger. The top-ranking diesel, the new BiTDI, uses two turbochargers to inject 313PS and 650Nm, enough to power the A6 allroad to 62mph in just 5.6 seconds on the way to a governed 155mph top speed.

So the latter is the one to go for. It still does 42mpg, which is a few mpgs lower than the other two, but still pretty good.

In terms of practicality, functionality and stuff like that, the allroad offers a long wheelbase of 2,905 millimetres, and 565 litres of cargo space. The standard split rear seat can be folded down to increase this to 1,680 litres. Its main features include 18-inch alloy wheels, Milano leather upholstery, satellite navigation, the Multi Media Interface (MMI) linked to a 6.5-inch retractable colour display, the Audi parking system plus, cruise control, Bluetooth mobile phone preparation, light and rain sensors and the Audi drive select adaptive dynamics system.

A6 allroad 3.0 TDI quattro 245PS £44,690
A6 allroad 3.0 BiTDI quattro 313PS £49,445
