The gorgeous new Volvo V40 premium hatchback will hit the UK market in September starting at £19,745. The V40 not only brings a new look to this segment, it also packs a lot of new and exciting features, including the world’s first pedestrian airbag. The car launches with a 1.6-litre diesel engine developing 115 hp and 285 Nm, with average fuel consumption of 78.5 mpg and CO2 of 94 g/km.
The Volvo V40 is also very feature-rich. The new hatchback comes in ES, SE and SE LUX trim with Bluetooth fitted as standard across the range. Even the entr-level model comes with a long list of equipments including Volvo’s innovative City Safety technology; the world’s first pedestrian airbag; Bluetooth with music streaming; high performance audio with 5″ colour display screen; Electronic Climate Control; 16″ Matres alloy wheels; Dynamic Stability and Traction Control; power windows; leather steering wheel and gear knob; and textile floor mats.
Another amazing available features for the V40 is a fully integrated satellite navigation system with voice-activated control, a 7″ colour display screen and DVD player. That’s not something you normally see in a car of this segment and this price range.
