BMW revealed the upgraded new 7-Seires with a mild facelift, new engines, and a whole lot of new features. The 2013 7er looks pretty much like the current version, apart from the new LED headlights which look kinda like the ones on the Gran Coupe, more prominent BMW kidney grille, and a revised front apron. Changes are refreshing, but they have not made the car any prettier.

One new feature of the 2013 BMW 7 Series we will soon see in other BMWs as well is the all-new multifunctional instrument display allowing the driver to select a variety of information and the central Control Display with 3D graphics. BMW is finally ready to let go of its traditional dials and is welcoming tricksy new stuff. Cool.

BMW has also made every effort to make the new 7-Series is more comfortable and more refined than ever. It has better suspension, better soundproofing, and a new rear-seat entertainment package that turn the car into a mobile studio.

It comes  with a new 9.2-inch flatscreen monitor ensures a refreshing diversion is always at hand over extended journeys. The new 1,200-watt Bang & Olufsen High End Surround Sound System delivers unimpeachable sound quality. Its 16 speakers include an illuminated centre speaker which retracts almost fully into the instrument panel.

As with every new model, the 2013 7-Series Bimmer is more fuel efficient than ever. The spearhead of BMW’s Efficient Dynamics in this car is a new 750d xDrive version powered by a TwinPower turbo in-line six diesel engine, offering great power and torque with significantly reduced consumption and emissions compared to the similarly powerful non-turbo engines.

But a car like the 7-Series which is like a private jet for the roads need big meaty engines, which is why BMW keeps offering the 760i with its 12-cylinder powerplant and the 750i with a revised  V8 petrol. More ordinary customers can also choose between the 730i, 730d and 740d.

The 7er might be a big luxury limo, but BMW has not forgot about the dynamics. It comes with self-levelling air suspension for the rear axle andis the standard-fitted Electric Power Steering. State-of-the-art electronic control systems with likewise retuned software help to enhance the long-distance attributes of the BMW 7 Series Sedan and ensure that the new edition of the car makes travelling on board even more pleasurable – in terms of both dynamics and comfort.

The latest and finest version of the BMW ConnectedDrive technologies are also available for the new 7-Series. Among the systems helping to maximise safety are BMW Night Vision + Dynamic Light Spot with pedestrian recognition technology (unique in the premium segment), the anti-dazzle LED High-Beam Assistant, Driver Assistant Plus with Stop & Go function, Active Protection with automatic fatigue recognition and Speed Limit Info including the No Passing Info display using road sign symbols.

All these stuff are controlled by a new operating system and a computer with a CPU bigger than Steve Jobs’ head!
