Italian tuner Novitec Rosso revealed details of its package for one of Italia’s hottest cars, Ferrari 458 Spider. The package, which they refer to as a thrilling designer suit for the Spider, includes an aerokit fro the body, a set of very unique wheels, subtle interior modifications, and a power upgrade to 609 hp / 448 kW. It’s a thorough program.
The boost in power in the result of using new carbon airbox, lightweight high-performance exhaust system with sound management system, new ECU map, and high performance manifolds. The new exhaust set also weighs 21 kilograms less than the production exhaust. The car now reaches a top speed in excess of 325 km/h.
Technical upgrades are not limited to the engine. Novitec also fits the Spider with a hydraulic suspension system that can raise the front-end of the car by as much as 40mm, while the sport springs reduce the ride height by 35mm. The lowered suspension also makes the new wheels – 9Jx21 in front and 12Jx22 on the rear axle – look much cooler.
As for the looks, the carbon fiber aero kit on the 458, consisting of a two-piece front spoiler and side flaps, as well as rear diffuser unit and spoiler, generate even more downforce which adds to the stability of the car at high speed.
For the interior, you get tasteful carbon-fiber touches such as the center console that has been extended downward, the bezels above the speedometer and the climate sensor as well as new shift paddles.
