Following an early preview through some sketches, Volvo’s tuner Heico Sportive released the first pictures of the finished product, the first upgraded Volvo V40. The new premium hatchback is a good-looking brute, with the Heico kit it becomes a little sportier. The car also gets a slight bump in power so it should be better to drive than the standard car as well.
The body kit on this Volvo V40 consists of a revised front bumper with front spoiler lip, side skirts, and a rear diffuser and quad exhausts, which looks suspiciously like an AMG setup. Not that it’s a bad thing. AMG themselves are using a different look these days, so it’s OK for Heico to use this. And it looks very cool.
As for the power, Heico fits the engine with a bespoke ECU kit called e.motion that increases the output of the T5 engine from 240 to 270 horsepower, and also boosts the torque from 320 Nm to 365 Nm. The effect of the increased power on the car’s performance – apart from better pull and acceleration – is an increase of 5 km/h to the top speed.
