A few days after unveiling the new-look 2013 Audi R8, the German car maker confirms pricing and specs of the UK-bound versions. The Brits will get all the available versions including the Coupe, Spyder, V8, V10 and V10 Plus, and with manual and S tronic transmissions. Put this lot together and you have 10 different versions of the R8 to choose from. Pricing starts at £91,575 for the most affordable one, and goes up to £127,575 for the most expensive.

For that money the new R8 does not offer a whole new styling. The 2013 version does get a set of new LED headlight that look really cool, and some revised air intakes in the front bumper – and high-end versions do get some new carbon parts – but that’s about it. It is still among the most interesting-looking cars in the world though, so no objection there.

The power remains the same as well, with the V8 versions developing 430 hp and 430 Nm, and the Lamborghini-derived V10 making 525 hp and 530 Nm. But there’s a new flagship, the Audi R8 V10 Plus. With 550PS and 540 Nm, this coupe-only version catapults from rest to 62mph in 3.5 seconds and achieves a top speed of 197mph when linked to S tronic transmission; Combined fuel economy is 21.9mpg. With manual transmission, the acceleration time lengthens slightly to 3.8 seconds, top speed also increases to 198mph and combined fuel economy tops out at 19.0mpg.

As for the features, as well as all-LED headlights and new design 19-inch alloy wheels, the R8s gain the Audi Music Interface (iPod connection), satellite navigation, Bluetooth mobile phone preparation and heating for their Fine Nappa Leather-upholstered sports seats. To bring them into line with the V10 Spyder, V10 Coupe models upgrade to an extended Fine Nappa Leather package which takes in elements such as the dashboard and side panels.
