By now you have almost certainly heard that Need Ford Speed video game is becoming a movie in a Dream Works Studios project. Now they have confirmed the release date for February 7, 2014. Plenty of time then to make something good. That’s the way Scott Waugh, the director, rolls. He takes his sweet time over making films, and usually comes up with a masterpiece.
Just watch Act of Valor and you realize what this guy is all about. It took them a while to make it, but that’s because they used active-duty Navy SEALs and real tactics, and that is why the film is so brilliant. We hope the same applies for the Need For Speed Movie.
There is no details on the plot or casting yet, but then it’s too soon for that. George and John Gatins are currently developing the story and writing the script. They have plenty of room to play here. After all, it shouldn’t be hard coming up with a cool story around some fast cars and make an interesting motion picture based on it.
