At first only 500 units of the Audi RS3 Sportback was allocated for the UK market. But now that all of them quickly sold out while the demand for it stayed high, Audi is sending another 250 units to the old country to keep the customers happy. Now, they could have bump the price for the new batch and make more profit, but Audi is not greedy and will sell the new RS3 for the same £39,930 as before.

The RS3 is powered by the famous turbocharged 2.5-litre five-cylinder petrol engine that makes 340PS and 450Nm in this car. The power is channeled to all four wheels via a seven-speed S tronic twin-clutch transmission. This setup enables the RS3 to sprint from 0 to 60mpg in 4.6 seconds, while averaging 31 mpg on the combined cycle. The top speed is limited to 155 mph.

As far as the dynamics, Audi RS3 features lowered MacPherson strut front and four-link rear suspension and 19-inch alloy wheels shod with 235/35 series tyres at the front and 225/35 at the rear. A host of computer-controlled systems are also at hand to keep the car in check.

Standard equipment includes acoustic rear parking sensors, electronic climate control, DVD-based satellite navigation with MMI (Multi Media Interface) functionality and xenon plus headlights with LED daytime running lights. Optional features include front bucket seats, roof rails in matt aluminium look and styling packages in black or matt aluminium. Five exterior colours are available, plus an unlimited selection of custom paint finishes.
