The latest generation of BMW M6 grand tourer made its UK debut during the Goodwood FoS 2012. They brought along both the coupe and cabrio versions, and both of them were dispatched to the hill to give the visitors a taste of their performance and awesome exhausts noise. The M6 cabrio, as you can see in the video after the jump, was driven round by no other than Tiff Needell – former racing driver and TV presenter.

The new M6 uses the same 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 engine BMW puts in the F10 M5. This jewel of an engine makes 560 hp and enough torque to haul this big car from 0 to 60mph in slightly over 4 seconds. The new generation M6 also looks much nicer than the car it replaces — at least it doesn’t look like a sleepy bear. The thing about the new BMW M cars is that they’re too computerized and complicated. That’s fine by the typical BMW drivers, but for normal people, it might get a bit overwhelming after a while.
