After revealing the first official details and pictures on the drop-top MP4-12C, known simply as the 12C Spider, McLaren now released the first official videos of the car showing it in action. The Spider certainly looks hotter than the coupe, and with a folding hardtop and tuned engine and exhausts, it just is a better car. You really do have to ask yourself why should I buy the MP4 coupe when I can get this?

McLaren engineers managed to minimize the performance difference between the two car. It is so negligible, they are similarly fast in the real world. They say the Spider delivers what the MP4 lacks, and that’s thrill and fun, while remaining one of the most usable supercars in the world.
