After making a 600-hp Mercedes SLS, German tuner Domanig set about tuning the Mercedes SLS Roadster. And because this car is a little bit more special than the hardtop, they gave it a little bit more power. It has 620 horsepower. But power is only part of this package. On obvious change over the standard SLS is the new set of wheels, and the other less obvious change is the professional suspension system.
The wheels Domanig has chosen for this awesome machine are DOM03 series in sizes 11×20-inch with 275/30ZR20 Michelin Super Sport on the front axle, and 12×21-inch DOM06 with 305/25/ZR21 tires for the rear. Thanks to the new KW suspension that lowers the car by 30mm, the wheels fill up the fenders perfectly.
The new suspension components work in tandem with the car’s standard Ride Control system and offers the same driving settings of Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus. The new setup will probably make the SLS more planted on the road and reduce its insane tail happiness. That’ll make it faster around corners, but less a bit less fun.
