Hyundai has really improved its image in recent years. Nobody thinks of them as a cheap and nasty Korean brand anymore. They are now considered as a car maker with class. It is no longer embarrassing to be seen in one of their products. All that said, Hyundai is hardly a glamorous brand. They are still trying to be though, with efforts like putting the Veloster on display at Harrods.
Following footsteps of many other car makers, Hyundai rented a seemingly expensive shop at Harrods, Knightsbridge, to put the new Veloster on display until August 25. Aside the car, the window display includes the Hyundai Veloster, robots, interactive screens and automated home appliances.
The Veloster will get 1.2 million store visitors and 9 million Brompton Road pedestrians and traffic. The real winner of this deal, however, is Harrods who scores some easy cash from the ongoing battle between car makers to secure that spot.
As for the car, the £18,000 Veloster features 1+2 door configuration for easy rear seat access, and boasts 48 mpg fuel economy. The car also comes with lots of premium equipments such as a 7-inch TFT touch screen media centre (with capability of playing games through consoles and films from smartphones) and Bluetooth connectivity with voice recognition.
