What VATH (or Vaeth) has done here does not make that much sense. They have made a 500-something horsepower Mercedes E-Class by turbocharging its V8 engine. AMG has done something similar before – they call it the E63. But there is one good reason why you should choose this VATH over the E63. This one will do 300 km/h.

The AMG is limited to 250, and at best they can raise it to 270 if you pay extra. With the VATH E500 though you have an executive saloon that does 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds and goes past 300 km/h without breaking sweat. To do that it’s been given 520 horsepower and 810 Nm of torque.

The extra power is the result of a revised electronic control unit installed on the engine, as well as high performance intake system and a modified exhausts. VATh has also devised new ways to cool the engine and its fluids.

Then to cope with the incredible speed this E-Class can achieve, they’ve fitted it with 390 mm brake discs and 6-piston calipers, modified airmatic suspension, 20-inch wheels, and a subtle aero kit consisting of carbon front splitter and rear diffuser, trunk lid spoiler and a sports grille. Other changes include a sport steering wheel, carbon trims, and a new instrument cluster with a speedometer that reads up to 360 km/h.

Total cost of this package is 32,250 euros.
