Following yesterday’s unveiling of the new RS5 Cabriolet, Audi released a promo video for the car that reflects on the fact that this car has its root in motorsport – DTM to be more precise. All RS Audis in fact cut their teeth in touring car racing. It is racing technology harnessed and tamed for street use. THe RS5 is a race car garnished with a thick layer of luxury and convenience.
The new Audi RS5 Cabriolet is one fast drop-top. Its 4.2 FSI, a high-revving naturally aspirated V8 engine, outputs 331 kW (450 hp). It accelerates the high-performance sports car from zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) in 4.9 seconds. As with all RS cars, this one too benefits from a permanent four-wheel-drive system.
The base price for the RS5 Cab in Germany is 88,500 euros.
