The new Mercedes A Class is quite a significant car, but this video here summarizes all its existence in two and half minute. It chronicles the A-Class story, from the very first sketches, the computer models, clay models, prototyping, testing those prototypes, preparing the assembly lines, and the actual production model.

The 2013 A-Class might be a replacement for an existing model, but to all intents and purposes, this thing is an all-new car developed from the ground up. The previous A was so terrible, Mercedes decided to put its data in the bin and start from scratch. This one’s more like it.
