As we reported earlier BMW America is releasing a limited version of the M3, named after the famous Lime Rock Park racing circuit. They will make 200 units of this car to celebrate their partnership with the owner of the track, Skip Barber Driving School. These M3s come with the Competition Package, and to show what that means BMW released this video of the car scampering through the bends of Lime Rock track.
The Competition Package consists of lightweight inconel-titanium exhaust muffler, carbon fiber front and rear aerodynamic aids, and an Anthracite Alcantara-covered, flat-bottom steering wheel as the main features. Some orange paint completes the treatment.
To tell you the truth though, it doesn’t really make a big difference in the way the car goes and corners. You still have 420 horsepower, and one of the best sorted sports saloon chassis in the world. If you don’t care about the paint job and the fact that it’s a limited version, you are better off with a standard M3, which is a whole lot cheaper.
