Kia announced a special, and strictly limited to 500 units, version of the 5-Door Rio SX for the American market, inspired by Rio B-spec race car. The car is based on the range-topping version of the car, and comes with a 138-hp four-cylinder engine, and only with manual transmission. That engine is rated at 30-mpg city/40-mpg highway.
As for the specs, the SX 5-Door ca be had in Signal Red and Electronic Blue, and features LED accent lights, and 17-inch wheels on the outside, and knit cloth interior. It comes with a seven-inch navigation touch screen with a SiriusXM Traffic system and push-button start with Smart Key. Other standard SX features include sport-tuned suspension, rear camera display, steering-wheel mounted audio controls, Bluetooth, and satellite radio.
The car has a MSRP of $17,900, which sounds fair enough, but not compared to the standard entry-level Rio, which costs only 14 grand.
