Last time we heard of a-workx, they had tuned a BMW M3 to 460 horsepower. This time they’ve been working on a BMW 1M Coupe, and oh my, they’ve done a great job. They’ve tuned the standard 340-hp in0line six turbo engine to 435-hp and 550 Nm of torque. That is going to improve 1M’s already superb drive even more fun.

Engine modifications include using a larger, more efficient inter cooler, revised software, optimized air intakes, sport catalysts and Akrapovic titanium exhaust system. That last part kind of justifies the 8,500 Euro that the package costs.

a-workx has paid an even greater attention to enhance the car’s handling. They’ve replaced the roof with carbon fiber to lower the weight and the center of gravity. They have also lowered the suspension KW components – they are of course adjustable – and also used 19-inch lightweight BBS wheels.

Uprated brakes, bucket seats, and six-point harness are also included.
