BMW 1M Coupe is a rare car with too many fans. Those who couldn’t get their hands on one sometimes go to enormous length to have something like it. Some have their normal 1-Series Coupe tuned with similar body kits and stuff, but some other try and beat the original. This 1M wannabe you see here is an E82 BMW 1 Series Coupe powered by the E60 M5’s V10 engine!

So it has a massive 550 horsepower engine and the same SMG transmission as the M5, but it weighs a whole lot less. The means it is pretty bloody fast. In straight line it smokes a normal 1M, hitting 100 km/h from stand still in 4.2 seconds and topping 320 km/h.

The thing is, what made the 1M such a hit was its fantastic handling, which is the result of using various M3 suspension bits and a bespoke M chassis. This car doesn’t have that. Actually, it should be a bit of a handful, seeing as the 1-Series is not designed for handling 550 horses.

It’s an amazing tuning job nonetheless. You can have a similar package for your 1er for 20,000 Euro.
