Koenigsegg Agera R On Sale In America

Koenigsegg Agera R at Koenigsegg Agera R On Sale In America

For over a year American millionaires gritted their teeth while the rest of the world enjoyed the Koenigsegg Agera R, the fastest and maddest version of the Swedish hyper car. But now the wait is over as the Agera R goes — officially — on sale in the United States. So if you got $1.5 million burning a hole in your pocket, give Christian von Koenigsegg a jingle.

For that money you get a hyper car that looks like a viscous animal, so it checks the right boxes visually, and has an E85-capable V8 twin turbo engine, which can make up to 1,100 hp depending on the type of fuel you feed it with. Performance-wise, it goes from 0 to 60 mph in about 2.9 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 260 mph (420 km/h). It is not as lavish and sexy as a Zonda, but its brute force and mean looks are refreshingly different than all the other cars you can buy in that price bracket.
