Next stop for Tesla Model S in its quest to introduce the world to a new kind of motoring is Jay Leno’s Garage. The car stops by the garage, with Chief Designer Franz von Holzhausen, to give Jay, and us of course, a tour of the Model S, followed by a test drive. The Model S is an incredible car. It’s an electric car that can, apparently, do burnouts.

Jay is an old school guy and prefers mechanical engineering to electronics. But he seems pretty impressed with the Tesla. As he pointed out before, EVs and hybrids will be to motor cars what the motor car was to the horse. They will indeed replace our conventional cars eventually, but that doesn’t mean gasoline-powered car will be gone. They will be used like we use horses today – for recreational purposes.

If future EVs are going to be like this Tesla Models S, we’re in, bring it on!
