Things have been rather quiet at Hennessey Performance recently. Turns out they’ve been laying low because they were working on this, an all-new version of the Hennessey Venom GT. Compared to the first-gen Venom, the new model looks cooler with a new front-end and scissor doors, but we don’t know yet about its technical details.
The old model, of which they’ve made ten units so far, has a Lotus chassis and Hennessey’s own version of GM’s 7.0 liter V8 engine. In its full-fat twin-turbo version this engine makes 1,200 horsepower. Smart money says the 2013 Venom gets more than that, because Hennessey is not the kind of tuner who change the looks of a car and leave it at that.
So the 2013 Venom is better looking, more powerful, and even faster. Full details should be released soon.
