Earlier today we brought to you the first official pictures of the Jaguar XFR-S, and now the British company releases more pics and also official details and specs of their new M5 fighter.
The headlines: It has 550hp and 502 lb-ft of torque, does 300 km/h, costs $99,000, and only a 100 units of it are coming to the U.S.
Jag’s fastest saloon car ever is powered by the same all-aluminum 32-valve quad-cam 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine you find in the XKR-S. The engine is backed by a ZF eight-speed transmission with Quickshift functionality, Electronic Active Differential and Dynamic Stability Control systems.
As a result it goes from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds, and can hit a top speed of 300 km/h (186 mph). It also does 23 mpg highway and is exempt from gas guzzler tax in America.
Visual differences between this and the normal XFR include a set of 20-inch ‘Varuna’ forged alloy wheels with wider tires (265/35R20 and 295/30R20 front/rear), a carbon fiber aerodynamic body kit with front and rear spoilers and larger air intakes, as well as a diffuser. Inside the cabin, the XFR-S benefits from carbon, leather and contrasting highlight micro-piping and stitching.
