Not sure what is the point of teasing a car that everybody already knows everything about, but BMW thought it is a good way of killing a couple more weeks as they are getting ready for the M6 Gran Coupe world Debut. They can just cut to the chase and bring the car out at the upcoming L.A. Auto Show, but the it is apparently set for a 2013 Detroit debut.
BMW M6 Gran Coupe, as you know, is a four-door version of the M6. It plays the role of M5’s sexy, dirty sister who doesn’t mind showing off its inner goddess a bit.Unlike the M5 that conceals its power under an ordinary body, the GC wants people to know it is not a normal, run of the mill saloon car.
The car has the same exact everything as the M6, including the M body kit, 560 horsepower engine, seven speed dual clutch transmission, and rear-drive chassis. The interior – seats and upholstery – is a bit different, and the wheelbase, of course. It also appears to have some new shoes as well.
M6 Gran Coupe is set to be the most formidable rival for Mercedes CLS63 AMG. Check out a few live pictures of the car from the 40 Years of M event.
