Consumer Reports recently borrowed a Model S from Tesla for a quick spin, until they buy their own for a more thorough test. Now, these guys can find negative points in everything, but they seem really impressed with this gorgeous electric car. They like the looks, the awesome torque of that electric motor, and the high-tech interior. They were less kind to Fisker Karma.

There are drawbacks, of course, but they are common issues for all electric cars. Stuff like limited range and long recharge time are the biggest hurdles in the way electric motoring to fully takeover the world of cars. Tesla is working on ways to make things better, with solutions like Tesla Supercharger stations that are being built across the U.S.
