No, not that kind of Japanese anime. It is a series of short animation films made to promote the new Mercedes A Class in Japan. It happens in the future, in the city of Tokyo apparently, and it boasts the new A-Class in a very amusing way. This is the first installment, featuring what appears to be the Mercedes A45 AMG, and another iconic Mercedes car.

That transporter truck the guys in the A-Class chase – it’s nothing serious, they just want some noodles – is the Blue Wonder, a 1950’s race car carrier. It’s been present at most of the iconic races Mercedes won during that era. It was a very nice touch to put it in the film.
