MyKey For Ford Fiesta Debuts In The UK

Ford Fiesta mykey 1 at MyKey For Ford Fiesta Debuts In The UK

MyKey is a feature on some of Ford vehicles that enables parents to set top speed and limit audio volume on the cars their kids drive. It is possibly the most uncool feature ever fitted to any car. We kinda get the top speed limit, but audio volume? Come on guys.

MyKey is now available to order for Ford Fiesta in the UK. The MyKey system forms part of the new Fiesta’s safety and driver assistance package that also includes SYNC Emergency Assistance and Ford’s Intelligent Protection System with seven airbags.

Besides the aforementioned capabilities, MyKey an also prevent the driver from deactivating safety technologies such as Electronic Stability Control and Active City Stop, which can help mitigate or prevent low-speed collisions.

So in this car kids cannot go fast, cannot listen to loud music, and cannot drive enthusiastically because they cannot disengage the ESC. This way young driver remain safer, of course, but they are going to be bored to death, and consequently hate the Fiesta, and Ford, for it.
