Excite Rallye Raid took the wraps off the race-ready version of their new car based on the Range Rover Evqoue, aptly named Desert Warrior. We say it’s based on the Evoque, but actually, underneath the body pretty much everything has changed. And it’s powered by a BMW engine.
The Desert Warrior has a BMW 3.0 liter twin-turbo diesel which thanks to the mandatory FIA restictor on it makes only 275 horsepower, and 650 Nm of torque. Power is delivered via a ZF 6 speed with two speed transfer case.
The chassis and suspension, as well as wheels and tires, are all modified as well. The car gets 8x Reiger coil overs, 16-inch Compomotive Atacama RallyRaid wheels, and BF Goodrich desert race G series.
The Warrior is built to compete in T3 world championship, so based on its regulations it comes with a 260 liter fuel tank and maximum weight of 1,900 kg.
The most interesting part of the car is the Evoque body though. It is quite cool to see a car as classy and elegant as the Evoque jacked up on those big wheels, playing around in the dirt.
oui! il est beau ce monstre!
