One of the world’s most elite car clubs is without a doubt the American Gull Wing Group. It was formed back in 1961 over the members shared passion for the Mercedes 300 SL, and continues to bring people together today. That is actually the motto of the group: The people bring the cars together and the cars bring the people together. Most of the current members are children of the first generation 300 SL owners.

This year’s annual convention took place in La Quinta, California. Watch some of the highlights of the event after the jump, and feel free to be jealous of the participants; we know we are.
