A few days ago Audi revealed the latest version of the RS6 Avant, their 560 horsepower super estate. This new model has a small V8 engine – well, small compared to the previous model’s V10 engine – but it’s got two turbos. It is unbelievably quick and makes a great noise as well; facts highlighted in the official promo video that you can watch after the jump.
As you’d expect from a 60 horsepower car, the performance is mind-boggling. The RS6 goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds, which is astonishing in a supercar, let alone a family wagon with enough space for two Labradors. The top speed really depends on how you spec the car up; you can have 155, 176, or 189 mph.
Needless to say you get the quattro AWD system, and a whole range of mechanical and electronic features to make sure the car goes around corners with no drama whatsoever.
