The Resonance may look a bit too fancy to hint at a production model, but this in fact a preview of the next generation Nissan Murano. Not that it will look just as crazy as this, but the previous versions of the car both had very radical design for their time. This is the new design language all future Nissan SUVs will be based on.
The emphasize in the Resonance’s design is on aerodynamics and interior spaciousness. Speaking of the interior, Nissan says it is like a ‘VIP Lounge’ with buttery leather and premium-stitched seats, and a large glass roof.
Take a closer look at the car in this video from the unveiling event:
The concept car features an efficient hybrid electric drivetrain, another hint at the future of Nissan crossover vehicels. The all-wheel drive Resonance includes Nissan’s proprietary “one-motor, two-clutch” system that combines a smaller displacement internal combustion petrol engine with an electric motor/lithium-ion battery and advanced management system. Resonance also features Nissan’s next-generation Xtronic CVT.
