At the 2013 Chicago Auto Show Nissan is giving the Americans a taste of what their latest Nismo-tuned 370Z sports car is like. The car is set to go on sale in America in the summer, featuring new styling details, interior accents, and improved performance over the standard models.
This car gets a Nismo version of the same 3.7-liter DOHC V6 you find in the normal 370Z, tweaked with H-configured exhaust system design and muffler tuning, along with optimized ECM (Engine Control Module) calibration. It develops 350 hp and 276 lb-ft of torque.
Also part of the Nismo package is a close-ratio 6-speed manual with Nissan’s SynchroRev Match, the only transmission offered, double-wishbone front/4-link rear suspension design, and an aerodynamic body kit.
Now, that last bit, the body kit, is appealing mostly to the fans of Japanese tuning. Special bumper and chin spoiler at front, new side sills and a unique rear bumper, plus a large rear spoiler are the ingredients of this kit. The 19-inch RAYS forged aluminum-alloy wheels are pretty cool though.
The wheels are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S001 Y-rated rubber, and accommodate the Nismo Sport Brakes inside them. Pricing for the 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo will be announced later.
