Tuners love the Mercedes CLS, because with some simple tricks like lowering the suspension and bolting on some nice wheels, they can make an exquisitely beautiful car out of it. That is what K3 Projekt Wheels has been up to, tweaking a CLS 550 V8 model.

Usually it’s the CLS63 AMG that gets all the tuning treatments, but the 550 seems to be a better choice for a dignified car, because it is less showy and has normal bumpers and tailpipes. What K3 has done to it is lower the ride height, and install a set of five-spoke 20-inch wheels.

Since the car is finished in black, the tuner has also tinted the windows and blacked-out the taillights. The latter is a very nice touch.
