Carlsson’s cars for this year’s Geneva Motor Show could not be more different. At one corner we have the massively powerful CML Royale SUV, and at the other we have this, a tricked-out version of the Smart Fortwo. It is called the Race Edition.
The Race Edition is a production model actually, but only for the Swiss market. Its engine is tuned from 85hp to 112hp, and the torque from 120Nm to 158Nm, which translates into a 0 to 100 km/h time of 9.9 seconds. Keep your foot in it, and you’ll reach an eventual 145 km/h.
You also get a body kit with flared wheel arches, modified grille, and a couple of spoilers, as well as sport lowered suspension and a set of 17-inch wheels. The paint job is optional though, mercifully.
Carlsson also offers an interior package with red leather upholstery and black accents, as well as sport aluminum pedals.
