Following its world premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November last year, the new Jaguar XFR-S, the fastest and most powerful saloon they’ve ever made, is getting ready for a dynamic debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed by going up the famous hill really really fast.
The Goodwood-bound XFR-S will be dressed in red, and driven by Le Mans 24hr race winner Andy Wallace. The speed and modernity of the XFR-S will be complemented with the amazing look and feel some magnificent classics from Jaguar’s heritage center, including a 1962 Jaguar Mk. II prepared by Jaguar Heritage Racing, and a 1954 ‘short nose’ Jaguar D-Type – chassis No.1.
Built to take on the BMW M5 and Mercedes E63 AMG, the Jaguar XFR-S is powered by a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine developing 550PS and 680Nm. It goes from 0 to 60 mph in 4.4 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 186mph (300km/h). It also sound pretty awesome, which should be a real treat for the festival goers.
