While Kia Motors is busy unveiling new versions of its production model in New York, on the other corner of the planet in South Korea their R7D department is showing off a new concept car at the Seoul Motor Show. This is the Kia CUB Concept, and it’s Kia’s idea of a four-door coupe.
Well, it is safe to say the CUB is not going to give the Mercedes CLA any headaches, but it is a fairly interesting design nonetheless. The compact car has a large hatch at the back and some exquisite details at the front and sides that give it a nice twist and stop it from looking boring. LED lights and 19-inch wheels are among the other highlights of the exterior.
The interior is all-black, but it uses yellow in its unique trimming and stitching. Four individual seats and touch-sensitive buttons are some of the interesting features of the CUB, but the highlight of the cabin is a driving information system with a camera that lets you control it with gestures.
Powering the CUB is a 200hp 1.6-liter GDI engine.
