When it first came out the BMW X6 caused quite a stir with its groundbreaking design. Over the years though, it’s kinda lost its pop. Now in an effort to bring the car back to the headlines, a German tuner called Inside Performance has come up with a thorough tuning package for the X6M; the most powerful version.
They call it the Stealth because of the unique camouflage wrap. That makes sense if you are planning to use the car in the North Pole, in an area with lots of armed drones flying overhead. They won’t be able to spot it. But anywhere else this X6 will not be very stealthy. In fact, it’ll stick out like bollocks on a bulldog.
This X6M is also sporting a wide body kit, which is sort of obscured by that wrap. It is from AC Schnitzer, and consists of rather sizable fender flares as well as a new vented bonnet. There is also a set of Vorsteiner deep concave wheels in matte black, which frankly are the best part of this car’s exterior.
Indie the cabin Inside Performance has installed a custom display, showing information such as turbo boost, temperature, power and torque, and so on to the driver. That may become handy, as they have tweaked the 4.4 liter bitrubo V8 in the X6M rather deeply, and boosted its output from 555 horsepower to 700 horsepower.
In doing so they have replaced the exhaust system with a much sportier one, and revised the car’s electronic brain, eliminating the top speed limiter in the process.
