Hyundai Determined to Defend its Pikes Peak Title

Hyundai Pikes Peak 2013 600x367 at Hyundai Determined to Defend its Pikes Peak Title

Last year at the Pikes Peak hill climb challenge Hyundai discovered a field of motorsport they can pursue. Even though some people say they got lucky that Monster Tajima’s electric car went bust, there is no denying they showed a great performance. Hyundai driver Rhys Millen and his Genesis Coupe set an all-time record in 2012. Now in 2013 and with a number of new and very serious contenders, Hyundai is going to have a hard time defending its title, but they seem confident.

If Rhys Millen wants to defend his Pikes Peak title, he’s going to have to build the ultimate Hyundai race car with perfect handling, steering and braking. That’s what Hyundai has been silently working on the past couple of months. They will be competing in the unlimited class with a prototype race car and the Genesis Coupe.
